"Do Androids Dream of Eletric Sheep" - le bouquin (pas le film) qui est bourré de thèmes religieux. c'est toute une putain de réflexion sur Dieu.

Religion has been strongly rooted in human cultures since the beginning of civilization. Cyberpunk authors use mainstains of society and incorporate technology into the element of society and use it to convey information to the reader. In this instance, Stephenson uses religion and technology to drive home the point that information is power in our culture and will be in all of the civilizations that follow ours. L. Bob Rife planned to carry out his plan using a virus that could infect a person through their body fluids and their visual and auditory sensory systems. The last is most interesting because the people who possessed the power of information could be infected through their computer screens via their visual and auditory senses.

There is a definite strain of mystical, almost Gnostic sensibility that shows up even among those cyberpunks not actively involved with neo- or techno-paganism, Discordianism, or Zen. For example, hacker folklore pays homage to `wizards' and speaks of incantations and demons. It has too much psychological truthfulness about it to be entirely a joke.

Sans parler des Jeux de Rôles aussi (Shadowrun anyone?). Ou des thèmes de l'intelligence artificielle, qui vire très rapidement vers des réflexions divines...


Et dire qu'un manga est un cran au dessus de la littérature cyberpunk, c'est comme dire que the Passion of Christ est un cran au dessus de la bible.

Alors désolé si j'ai osé venir sur votre terrain de jeu littéraire à la Cafard Cosmique, mais oui... un des thèmes majeures du cyberpunk est le divin / mysticisme.
