Un soldat en Irak raconte une journée en mission. Ca se lit comme une nouvelle et c'est puissant. Extrait:
"I loaded my butt into the FAASV and we headed out. Now we knew that we couldn’t defend this place (An iraqi police station) with just boots on the ground. So we took armored vehicles with large weapons systems to give us a little extra firepower. Each FAASV, and there were 2 of them, had a .50 caliber heavy machine gun mounted to it. We had several up-armor HMMWVs (Humvees) that had medium or large caliber machine guns mounted on them. We had 2 FOX vehicles, which are vehicles that chemical detection crews use, and these also had machine guns. But to top it all off we had 2 Bradley fighting vehicles. Each Bradley is equipped with a 7.62x51mm machine gun. But as its main weapon system it has a 25mm heavy weapon system, that is capable of shooting armor piercing, incendiary rounds into just about anything at just about any time of day or night. It is an impressive weapon to say the least."
